Prairie Fiber Arts Center Classes


We are very excited to re-launch our fiber arts classes! To adapt to social distancing, all classes will be held via Zoom.

To register for a class, please email Prairie Fiber Arts Center at [email protected]. Before the class begins, participants will receive an email invitation to join a Zoom Meeting hosted by PFAC.

Please note!

1.  Please sign up for the classes at least 48 hours before the first session so that
      Zoom invitations can be sent to everyone involved.
2.  All materials are available for purchase at the Prairie Fiber Arts Center

Crochet Lace Snowflakes ($20)

Snowflakes make great Christmas Presents! The snowflakes we make in this class can be adapted as Ornaments, Gift Tags, Garlands, and more!

Baby Yoda Amigurumi ($30)

Baby Surprise Sweater ($20)

The Baby Surprise Sweater is one of knitting guru Elizabeth Zimmermann’s iconic patterns. This ingenious little sweater is worked in all garter stitch, with clever shaping and minimal sewing.

Skills Required: Garter Stitch
Skills Learned: Techniques for Surprise Sweaters.
Materials: Fingering (1) weight yarn. (one 50g/130m skein each of two colors)
Recommended Yarn: Rowan Baby Cashsoft Merino.
Tools & Notions: 16" Circular Knitting Needles US 4 (or size needed to obtain gauge)
